Today's News: No Man's Sky delayed?

Hey Time-Killers!

As I went to my regular sources this morning to find my own personal news, I thought to myself - why not share this with you guys? So here's some hot topics I found interesting today...

Post Date: 5/26/16

No Man's Sky is rumored to be delayed from its previously announced June 21st release date. Some close sources to Kotaku have claimed that the release could be moved to July or August and evidently, Gamestop has been asked to cover up or remove any "coming soon" stickers that are attached to anything No Man's Sky. July or August still seem pretty soon to me in today's world, but to each their own I suppose. I personally don't see too big of an issue with this, particularly because I feel that this game is going to be judged pretty critically due to its new ideas and very different style. So if I were Hello Games (the developers of No Man's Sky) and I wasn't one hundred percent certain on everything, I would give myself a little window as well. Delays can be a good thing, unless you're Ubisoft and delayed the Division for two years and still delivered an empty shell of a game...but I digress.

In the eSports world, the PAC-12 has opted to join eSports this upcoming year. The PAC-12 is one of the bigger collegiate conferences and their growing interest throughout their student body has led to this decision. The PAC-12 is actually within the area of Blizzard and Riot! Games so it probably speaks to the high demand from their students. I've watched eSports grow in such a short amount of time and I think the "real world" - particularly in North America, is starting to accept this growth and embrace it. If you don't believe me, follow ESPN for just one day and watch how many eSports articles they post. Its truly astounding and awesome for me to see a video of Lebron throwing down a dunk shortly followed by a game winning quadra-kill by Faker. I look forward to seeing more of how eSports will continue to grow and come into its own.

Aside from that, I didn't come across anything else this morning that really caught my eye. Below are the links to where I found this news so feel free to check out the articles and let me know your thoughts in the comments as well any news you found interesting! Until then, thanks for killing time with me guys.
