Geoff Goodman has spoken out about McCree saying that he's been watching him closely since launch, particularly his ability to decimate anyone he hits with the Flash and Fan - most notably, tanks and barriers. It appears that McCree is working as intended against fast, offensive characters like Tracer and Genji, which I agree with. But when he's blowing through Reinhardt's shield as if it was a clean shot on Mercy, there's a problem and Goodman recognizes that as well. In most of my games, I constantly find myself cursing McCree and his flash. Do I genuinely think the problem only resides with McCree? No. I think the tank classes as a whole all need an HP buff. They just go down too fast to be initiating classes. The only one who does a decent job of tanking is Reinhardt. Roadhog isn't a bad option either because of his self heal and he seems to be able to take a decent amount of punishment. But Winston, D.Va and Zarya all need to be revisited in my opinion. I think a buff to HP to make them able to stand in the front lines a little more is in order. Nothing crazy, but just a bump. Speaking of D.Va, let's take a look at what Goodman had to say about her.
Goodman acknowledges that D.Va's damage is on the lower side, which I instantly noticed when I first started playing her. He also states that her damage is intended to be lower along with Winston because of their high mobility - a point I agree with. Lastly, he claims that any changes made to D.Va wouldn't result in any significant damage increase - another point I agree with. So what did he actually say about changing her is my question? Hopefully he intends to buff the mech suit HP, because that thing gets destroyed entirely too fast and then you're left with Zero-Suit Samus - The D.Va edition. Except in this edition you don't have any awesome smash attacks, you have a pistol and enough HP to get annihilated by any other character out there, so you then take cover and watch you precious "Q" percentage climb until you either get another suit - or you die right before it like me and then uninstall. I'm kidding, I don't go that far. My idea for a fix, just buff the suit HP. The damage is fine, her abilities are awesome, she just needs more sustainability.
Other notable changes that are on the horizon are changes to Reaper's teleportation color so you don't freak out anymore only to find out that it was a teammate. Or you do freak out and run away if I'm playing Reaper on the other team because now you'll know its me...or any other enemy Reaper. They're also making changes to the saved highlights feature at some point - hopefully allowing us to save our top plays going forward. Finally, they're looking into ways to improve the Play of the Game feature at the end of each match. I personally think its not that bad right now. I could use a few less Hanzo Q's, but everything else seems appropriate from what I've seen. But there's always room for improvement I suppose. Let's wrap this up.
What changes do you want to see in Overwatch? Let us know in the comments! Until next time, thanks for killing time with me.
